DC Dark Legion Team Building - Everything You Need To Know

When building a team in DC Dark Legion, players should know that there’s a lot of considerations when deploying a hero/villian in a team as different heroes and villains in the game all have their own abilities and classes of what they do, making it extremely crucial that players diversify their lineups depending on the stage you are in.

Some of the most important things players should consider when building a team are:

Different Heroes & Villains Roles And Abilities

Heroes and Villains in DC Dark Legion are quite abundant, with the entire roster taking from different facets of the DC comics and cinematic universes. Due to this, a lot of the different heroes and villains you can recruit and use in a team have their own power and abilities based on what they can do in the comics and movies and their roles in the fight are completely different from one another.

Each champion in DC Dark Legion have themself a designated role, be it Firepower, er, Guardian, Intimidator or Warrior. Each of these roles have their own unique quirks and gimmick that make them extremely important for team building, especially when the team can consist of up to 5 champions at once.

These roles main gimmicks are:

- Firepower: Main DPS with high damage output but low defensive capability.

- Guardian: High defensive ability with decent powerful crowd control ability in exchange for low overall DPS.

- Intimidator: Have the ability to debuff large waves of enemies, creating a beneficial environment for other allies against the vulnerable enemies.

- er: Grants allies heals and buffs depending on their abilities, allowing the team to survive longer and boost the team’s overall combat capability.

- Warrior: Have the ability to use powerful melee attacks that both absorb that enemies’ coming damage and deal massive amounts of damage to enemies in retaliation.

Having a variety of teams depending on the champion’s different roles are crucial in any difficult battles.

Battle Positions

Another thing players should absolutely pay attention to when building a team is the different battle positions that players can take during a fight.

When on the battlefield, players can deploy up to 5 different champions in a set combat position, with 2 champions facing the front and 3 champions in the back row attacking from afar.

Because of this set battle position in every combat stages, players should consider carefully what champions they should bring and how they should position their champion properly for the best chance of victory.

It is highly recommended that players choose champions from the Warrior and Guardian archetype to be the frontline attackers in many of the battle situations, as these champions specializes in quickly approaching the enemies and dealing melee damage to them while being able to absorb the majority of enemies’ fires that are being targeted at the team. For a more defensive team comp, prioritize 2 Guardian Champions in the frontline. For a more offensive team comp, players should bring at least 1 Warrior and 1 Guardian at the frontline for the Warrior to deal good damage to the enemies.

For the back row, players should consider bringing characters from the Firepower, Intimidator and er archetype heroes as they specialize in dealing damage to enemies from afar and when being safely protected by Guardians and Warriors. For a more offensive team comp, players should bring 1 to 2 Firepower characters in addition to either 1 er or 1 Intimidator Champion. For a defensive team comp, it is highly recommended that players bring 2 er heroes to help the team survive as long as possible while also bringing a good Firepower champion to supplement the damage of the entire team.

Team Synergy Considerations

Aside from the different champion roles in combat and their combat position on the actual battlefield, one of the more interesting combat mechanics that players need to pay attention to when making a team in DC Dark Legion is the special Champion Synergy system.

For every champion in the game, when players obtain them and use them in combat, each champion will have their own special set of Synergy Effects that will take effect whenever they are in the same team with other Champions that share the same synergy.

For example, Batman have 3 different synergies that are active when he is in the same team with other champions, these being the Bat Family Synergy that increases the Champions’ crit rate, the Justice League Synergy that boost the Champions’ HP and Attack and the Weapon Master Synergy that boost the Champions’ Attacks.

These synergies will affect everyone on the combat team when they are deployed together on a team whenever a set number of champions sharing the same synergy are in the same team, and multiple synergies can be active at the same time, making it extremely crucial that players consider the team’s synergies carefully before making a team.
